Klarity Thermoplastic Masks

To achieve the most successful treatment outcomes in radiation therapy, it is critical that radiation beams hit the tumor in the same place every time, targeting the affected area while sparing as many healthy cells as possible. Masks and other immobilization devices aid therapists in ensuring that patients return to the same position for every treatment.
 

Klarity offers four types of thermoplastic: Klarity White™, Klarity Green®, Klarity LiteGreen™, and Klarity Blue™. Each type of thermoplastic has been specifically designed for optimal fixation with each frame-type and is available in varying thicknesses, sizes, and perforation patterns. Our thermoplastic is stronger,  less sticky, and has less shrinkage than other thermoplastic masks.
 

Klarity Masks are easy to prepare and can be heated with either an oven (at 165°F/73°C) or a water bath (at 160°F/70°C). Heating times vary by product and heating method. When the thermoplastic mask material is thoroughly warm, it becomes pliable and is ready for molding on the patient. Once the thermoplastic cools, it becomes rigid and extremely strong.
